Rowena Rizzotti | BIO


A highly successful health care leader for more than 30 years, in large organizations across both the private and public sectors with significant senior and executive-level experience in multi-site, complex business environments and have a very strong understanding of clinical operations in each the business, acute and continuing care sectors.

Most recently founding the Institute for HealthCare Innovations, bringing leading innovations to the Healthcare system and was also VP of Operations for BC largest private senior care operator and President of the Innovation Centre for Healthy Aging. Prior to that she was the Executive Director - Clinical Programs & Operations with Fraser Heath and led the redevelopment of Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Critical Care tower in 2014 following a role as Chief Operating Officer for Northern Health Authority.

Rowena has a highly values based, collaborative leadership style coupled with a very strong work ethic and has a strong passion, energy and commitment to bring growth through science and research into clinical practice and to improve outcomes and the quality of life for our communities. With both an MBA and a Masters in Management, Rowena holds an undergraduate degree (Psychology) and an Associate Degree(Biochemistry), as well as a Nursing Diploma.

In addition to leading the development of an Innovation Centre for Healthy Aging, Rowena was the author of the Research and Innovation Strategy of 2013 for Fraser Health and was also a founder Surrey's INNOVATION Boulevard and has served as a Director on many non profit Organizations and Boards.
