Rob works in a joint team drawn from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance in the Cabinet Office.  The team is responsible for taking forward the international agenda set at the November 2011 London Cyber Conference.

Rob took up this post in August 2011 and deals in particular with cybercrime issues.   His most recent assignment was at the British Embassy, Cairo (2010-2011).  Previously he was assigned to a range of posts at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.  Rob is married with one child.
