Ken Rabey

Principal Lecturer and Head of External Activities at the University of Wolverhampton. Prior to moving to Wolverhampton, Ken was Deputy Director of Process Improvement at Staffordshire University. His specialisation is in Strategic Planning for I.T. with a particular focus on Secure I.T.-enabled Business Process Analysis and Design. Notable career achievements include:

o Development and roll-out of a Crime Pattern Analysis system force-wide
o Major improvements in Police Force administration and operational practices, through process re-design and the introduction of I.T.

Ken's past roles include Strategic Planning and Research Manager (Europe) for the Eaton Corporation, Head of Management Information and R&D with Staffordshire Police, General Manager and Chief Executive of Systems & Business Consultants (UK) Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Institute for the Management of Information Systems and a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 27001:2005. As a member of POLCYB Ken is actively involved in e-crime prevention including the Cybersecurity- KTN (Knowledge Transfer Network) and other initiatives. His current work is focussed on the development of the National e-Crime Prevention Centre, in partnership with West Midlands Police and the Serious Organised Crime Agency. Ken is seconded to the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) where he is examining issues of support to Micro-Enterprises in Information Security awareness.
